Our youth clubs continue to be a huge hit

Heart of Pitsea’s two Youth Clubs continue to be a huge hit, with around 45-50 local young people attending each week.

For youngsters aged 5-11, our Little Monsters club provides creative activities include drawing and colouring, Lego, Play Doh, Aqua Beads and Loom Bands.  We also offer well known board games and an area where our members can let off steam playing team games like basketball, dodgeball and Nerf Wars.

In addition, our three youth workers organise regular special activities and recently our Little Monsters have done everything from making tasty fruit kebabs to taking part in a fun ‘run around’ quiz and clowning around in a magic and circus skills workshop.

Youth YOUnity, our club for young people aged 11-19, offers a much needed, friendly, inclusive, safe space where they can take part in activities, or simply sit and chat. Our membership has grown impressively over the last 12 months, with up to 33 wonderful young people attending each week.

Pool, table tennis and basketball are extremely popular and our members also enjoy games like chess, cards and Uno along with art activities and the occasional Karaoke session.

Heart of Pitsea would like to thank our local Greggs store for their weekly ‘end of day’ stock donation, which, as you can imagine, is the highlight for our Youth YOUnity club members!
