Who? What? When? Where? Competition

This competition has now closed.

We are asking children and young people to come up with an idea for a short story or poem with the chance of winning a prize!

We don’t need the full story – they just need to tell us Who? What? When? and Where?

Then our Youth Leaders, Hayley and Laura, will use the top 3 storylines to create the story or poem and bring it alive in a YouTube video!

Youngsters just need to answer the following 4 questions.  The suggestions are only to help with ideas, so let their imaginations run wild (the crazier the better!) and try not to influence their ideas with your own suggestions….

  1. Who…is the main character in your story? It could be an animal? a person? a make-believe character?
  2. What…problem might need to get solved?
  3. When…does the story happen? It might be one winter? last Tuesday? in the future?
  4. Where…does the story take place? Perhaps in the kitchen? under your bed? in the Park? at School? on a strange planet?

The top 3 entries will win a National Book Token to get books delivered to them at home -(1st Prize £20.00 with 2 runner-up prizes of £10.00 each)

Competition is open to children and young people up to 16 years of age.

Closing date for submitting a storyline is Thursday 30 April.
